BACKGROUND:
Kenya Hotels and Allied Workers Union was registered  in 1999 to provide professional services to members in the Hotels, Restaurants, Casinos, Catering and similar establishments providing lodging , food, Beverages or both, establishments offering Tourism services, clubs and all Guest Houses, Camping sites, Golf clubs and all projects related to them.
VISION
To restore and revamp Human Resource Capital, Industrial Relations and Social welfare in the hospitality Industry.
MISSION
To regulate, improve and Hamonize Industrial Relations between Employees and Employers.
MEMBERSHIP
Any working persons in the Industry irrespective of sex, race, colour, language, religion, political affiliation, ethinicity, social origins, disability or HIV status and above 18 years of age can become a member of the Union upon payment of the prescribed subscriptions and monthly fees and dues.
The monthly dues and contributions are paid on conditions for membership and shall not fall into arrears of over three months.
